Tiger WHAT?

Most of you can guess what I’m talking about. I’m talking about Tiger Balm and I must say, that stuff is fantastic. About 3-4 days ago I seriously hurt my left arm by simply working out real quick one time when I had a bit of time, but didn’t spend any time warming up(very stupid move on my part). Anyways, I couldn’t even straighten my left arm out(just by using my muscles), but I could straighten it out by putting my arm down on the table and using my right arm to help stretch it. Over the course of those few days, my arm continued to give me trouble and I was starting to think it might take quite a while to heal.

tiger_balmsm1Today, I went over to my instructors house and we trained one on one. Jogged(and some walking ;) ) 2 and 1/2 miles before going out in the grass and doing some light exercises. I’ve been so busy lately with school and other things, that I didn’t have the time to train much and let myself get back “out of shape”. While I’m still not near as bad as most, it’s nothing compared to where I was a couple months back.

On to the point, which is that I showed him my arm and he told me I should use Tiger Balm. Now, I’ve been around in MA and other things long enough to know about Tiger Balm but I had never used it on myself. It’s really for injuries, like the one I had just received, and while I’ve had plenty of injuries in the past they usually aren’t pulled muscles. They are things where Tiger Balm can’t really help. Only reason I didn’t try it for my arm is that I didn’t have any at my place. Well, he happened to have some and so I gave it a go. Within 15 – 20 minutes my arm was able to bend straight out and by the time I got done with our jog, I was able to do push-ups, etc without feeling any pain whatsoever. This stuff is just great. I’ve already picked some up, and will be using it over the next couple days till it’s completely gone and doesn’t come back. I doubt I’ll need to use it more than 2-3 days, at tops though.

If you ever pull any muscles, or strain yourself in some serious way, please give Tiger Balm a chance, it may work wonders for you because it did for me. You can generally pick Tiger Balm up at any local health store.

  1. Hi mate, really enjoyed going through your site, we seem to have very similar interest :) Tiger balm is good but i recommend Dragon balm, its a honk kong product and not many sensei’s carry it, but a trip to a traditional chinese medicine shop should produce it. It’s heaps better than tiger balm, used it during my army days, cures all muscle aches in hours! Keep up the good work!
    Peace out!
